Philip enjoyed a morning at Menston Retired Men’s Forum after taking up the invitation to speak to the group.
He hosted one of his regular Q and A sessions, where no question or topic is off the table, giving members the chance to put any questions they want to him.
Philip said: “I had a great morning with the group and it was a privilege to be invited again. When I get asked to speak at events, I always ask what people want me to do, as although I am more than happy to speak on a particular subject, I believe it is important that people also have the time to ask me anything they want. As the MP I have always said I will be honest about my views on all subjects so these Q and A sessions are great forums for this.”
Issues raised by the group included the Post Office enquiry, Bradford Council’s financial situation, immigration, and the government’s Rwanda plan, as well as national issues including MPs expenses, the prison service and social care reforms.
